1929 The Beginnings



Georgia Women’s Golf Association, Inc. (GWGA) is a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to develop, promote, maintain and protect the best interest of the game of golf among the amateur female golfers throughout the State of Georgia; to conduct an annual Championship Tournament and provide recognition of the winners of this event; and to conduct other tournaments as determined by the Board of Directors.

Today and the Future - Our Mission



The mission of the GWGA is to encourage excellence and promote the game of golf through organized play among the female residents of the State of Georgia.

  • Activities to support the mission:
    1.  Promote annual tournaments;
    2.  Encourage membership and participation; and,
    3.  Provide grants to selected female golf programs.
