Karen Sagon - Peachtree City
Home Course: Flat Creek Country Club
Career: Current business owner / Physical Education teacher/coach 19 years.
I think of my resume like steps in life. I graduated from Georgia Southern College in 1986 with a BS in Health and Physical Education and began my career as a teacher in the Fayette County School system. By 1995, I had obtained a Masters and Specialist Degree in Education from the University of West Georgia. I loved teaching and coaching for 19 years in my hometown and very proud to be a voted a member of the Fayette County High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2014.
In 2004 I stepped out on a limb and became an entrepreneur, co-founding a real estate company and project management company. Morningside Realty was developed with 28 Realtors and later sold to a National Real Estate firm in 2010. My experience in real estate lead me to open my own company, Morningside Medical, where I worked in procuring real estate sites for medical practices as a licensed realtor, then planning and building facilities with owners and contractors.
These past experiences landed me here today at Ageless Wellness Center with Dr. Walraven and Linda Faulkner, FNP-C. I am serving as a co-owner, Chief Financial Officer and Project Manager. What a pleasure it is each day to be part of this organization…no matter how well designed, it is only as good as the people who live and work in it.
My off time is absorbed with the love of golf and I am honored to be part of GWGA and helping this organization grow in a positive way to encourage women in golf.
