Terri Breyman - Savannah

Career: Educator/Administrator - Fairfax County Public Schools
Receiving a B.A. in psychology from the University of Alaska, Anchorage Terri headed to the Philippines as a Peace Corp volunteer (1977 - 1978). Upon retuning to the states she married and continued her education earning a teaching certificate from the University of California, Irvine. She holds two masters degrees in Curriculum, Instruction and Instructional Technology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a third master’s degree, a VA Principal License from George Mason University
As a single digit handicap golfer Terri has won her local Club Championship and Senior Championship. To further her knowledge of rules she has taken the USGA rules class. When Terri isn’t on the golf course she dedicates her time as a member of the Savannah Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, is a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy, Alexandria, Louisiana Chapter. She has also taken the UGA extension - Chatham County Master Gardner course, leading her to serve on The Landings Gold Club Standard Committee.
JoAnn Setliffe - Woodstock

For the last fifteen years JoAnn has enjoyed playing and promoting women’s golf. She has served in various capacities in her local LGA including President, Tournament Chair and Publicity Chair. In 2010 she served as President of the Georgia Women’s Tournament of Champions. She is also actively involved in organizing golf tournaments to benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Prior to golf JoAnn worked in many capacities in the field of electronics. She has been employed as a Department Manager, Operations/Project Manager, Account Executive of computer sales and spent many years as a Computer Technician.
JoAnn received an Associate of Science degree from Oxnard College.
Jan Alligood - Newnan

Career: Comptroller/Fleet Manager/Distribution Manager/Area Manager - Georgia Power
During her tenure as Area Manager for Georgia Power Jan chaired the Newnan
Coweta Chamber of Commerce instituting a new budgeting process allowing the chamber to weather revenue volatility. During this time, she and other associates founded the Business Women’s Golf League (BWGL), a league focused on
empowering, inspiring, growing and connecting women through golf.
For five years Jan served as Chair of the Board for Coweta County’s Central Education Center and Georgia’s first Career Academy for three years. She also served as Chair of
the Board for the Coweta County United Way. Each year under her leadership the
campaign surpassed all previous years in revenue raised.
In 2011, Jan was appointed by the County Commissioners as a Director of the Development Authority of Coweta County. She continues her service there on the Board of Directors.
After retirement Jan partnered with two friends who started, Your Events and Promotions (YEP). She is in her second her as the General Manager of the Newnan Country Club and a member of several local and state golf organizations including the
Newnan Country Club Ladies Golf Association, Business Women’s Golf League (Executive Committee), Mid-GA Women’s Golf Association and the Georgia Women’s
Golf Association (Executive Committee).
Her family includes her son, Brad, daughter-in-law Elaine, daughter Brandi, and son-in-law
Mike. She has four grandchildren. Angel, Thomas, Jeffrey and Kennsey.
Jan earned her Business Degree from Mercer University in Macon, GA.
Becky Yager - Camilla
Home Course: River Pointe Golf Club & Stonebridge Country Club - Albany
Career: Elementary Music Teacher - Mitchell County
Becky attended Middle Georgia College playing basketball and tennis before transferring to the University of Georgia. Playing basketball for the Lady Bulldogs in 1978/79 she was team captain her senior year. Married to her high school sweetheart they have two children and four grandchildren. She is the current keyboard/piano player in the Praise Band of the First Baptist Church in Camilla.
JoAnn Timm - Hampton
Home Course: Sun City Peachtree Golf Club - Griffin
Career: Military retiree - 35 years of service.
A graduate of the Minnesota School of Business in computer programming JoAnn went on to join the Air Force. Assignments included Grand Forks, ND, Kwang Ju Korea, Clark Air Base Philippines and then back to Minnesota.
After 13 years of service JoAnn joined the Army. Specializing in logistics she worked directly for the Commander of Headquarters. She was responsible for inventory control of all soldier equipment accomplishing this task with 100% accuracy. During her military career she earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration and General Business as well as a Master of Science in Research Management and Human Resources.
In retirement JoAnn is busy golfing and volunteering within the golf community. She volunteers with GSGA as a rules official. A few favorite assignments are with the Georgia State Junior and High School golf teams. She also volunteers with the Symetra, PGA and LPGA tours. In addition, she is Chairman of the board for the Mid-GA Ladies Golf Association and a former President of the Griffin Ladies Golf Association.
Janet Norris - Eatonton
Home Course: Reynolds Plantation, Lake Oconee - Greensboro
Career: Sales/Marketing Rep. - IVANS Division of IBM Global Network Senior Sales Rep. - Dateq
Janet and her husband of 22 years retired to Reynolds Plantation in 1998. There she has been able to purse her passion for golf. She has enjoyed being actively involved in the 200+ ladies golf association and has served as President of the league. She is also an involved member of the Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church and a strong supporter of St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Janet’s other passions include hunting, fishing and gardening.
Marie Daniel - Tyrone
Home Course: Cannongate Golf Club - Sharpsburg
Career: SVP-IT Strategic Sourcing
A graduate of Georgia Southern holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration Marie has had multiple leadership roles throughout her 28 year career including: Human Resources, Auditing, IT Production Services and Procurement.
In 2012 Marie decided to take up golf, not realizing it would be a lifetime adventure. She became a member of Business Women’s Golf League (BWGL) located in Newnan. She quickly became involved in the leadership team as Treasurer. Since 2015 Marie has served as President of BWGL.
After attending the GWGA Jekyll Island Tournament in 2017 Marie was bitten hard by the golf bug. She is now focused on improving her game, playing as much golf as possible.
Renee Cook-Garcia - Savannah

Career: Dental Hygienist
Renee earned her dental hygiene degree from Tyler Jr. College. She also holds a
double Bachelors Degree from the University of North Texas in Criminal Justice and
Psychology.
After 10 years of body building and power lifting she took up golf. She holds two Club Championships in White Bluff Golf Club in Whitney, TX as well as a Senior Club Championship from Stonebridge Country Club in McKinney, TX. At The Landings Club in
Savannah she holds a Club Championship and two Senior Championships. Playing with a broken elbow in 2015 she won the tournament tee division at the Georgia State
Amateur.
Phyllis Cox - Cedartown
Home Course: Cherokee Golf and Country Club - Cedartown
Career: Certified Public Accountant,MBA, Management - Georgia Power (GPC)
Utilizing her financial and technological experience, Phyllis has been able to move GWGA forward in these capacities. While working at GPC she became active in promoting women’s golf, becoming one of the founding members of the Executive Women’s Golf League (EWGA) in the Atlanta area. Throughout her career she encouraged management to provide women’s golf teams to support various charity events while representing GPC. In retirement she continues to expand her knowledge in the fields of management, financial and technology fields.
Phyllis has served as GWGA President and multiple GWGA roles, the President of the North Georgia Ladies Golf Association, President of the Greater Atlanta Area Ladies Tournament of Champions, Secretary of the Cherokee Golf and Country Club as well as several other advisory committees
Tracy Lindsey - Jesup
Home Course: Pine Forest Country Club - Jesup
Career: Partner - Bennett & Lindsey PC, Special Assistant Attorney General, Consultant/Webmaster - Rayonier Corporate Communications Southeast
Tracy is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Journalism and received her law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law. Her law firm provides pro bono services to the Wayne CountyIndustrial Development Authority, Boys & Girls Club of the Altamaha area, and Fairhaven Domestic Abuse Shelter.
Tracy is the Treasurer of the Jesup Bar Association and Wayne County Law Library, as well as Wayne County of Commerce & Vice Chair 2008-2015.
As a native of eastern North Carolina her love of all things nautical was born. Growing up she spent her time water skiing and sailing the Ablemarle Sound. In 2004 she earned her Captain’s license. She loved piloting her Boston Whaler, until her love of golf consumed her free time.
Pam Mitchell - Atlanta

Career: Marketing Coordinator - Lanier Business Products
Forever busy with her properties, Pam is the Owner/President of Petty LLC. An
upscale retail commercial property in Seaside, FL. In addition, she is Owner/President of SWK Liam LLC, an oceanfront rental condominium in the beautiful Watersound Community in Florida. She also enjoys spending time in the prestigious Cuscowilla golf
community where she is Co-Owner and Managing Partner of AIGT LLC. A multiplex condominium complex located on Lake Oconee. A lifetime member of the Auburn University Alumni Association with a B.S. in Business, Pam has also worked for Gap Inc, and Banana Republic.
Pam serves as the Secretary of the Claude A. and Johann S. Petty Foundation which provides funds to charitable causes. In addition, she served on the board of the Atlanta Country Club Ladies Golf Association for six years. This is her fourth year serving on the GWGA board.
When she’s not promoting golf, Pam is a very dedicated to her family. She has two sons Spencer and Will and two grandchildren Liam and Rylin. Her favorite colors are orange and blue. Go War Eagle!
Maria Johnson - Jesup
Home Course: Pine Forest Country Club - Jesup
Career: Payroll Supervisor/Cost Accountant - Rayonier Inc.
Born and raised in the Philippines, Maria came to the states to study at the University of Hawaii. She received her BS in Accounting at City University in Seattle.
She has one son Kevin, who has participated in the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour and American Junior Golf Tour.
Maria enjoys participating in national and state level competitions. Earning the title of top medalist at the Washington State Sectional she qualified to compete in the 1995 US Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship in Essex, MA. Partnered with Danielle Davis in 2004, they won the GSGA State Team held at Wilmington Island Country Club in Savannah, GA. She participated as a co-captain in the GA-FL Team Match Competition, now known as the Women’s Southeastern Challenge Match. At Doublegate Country Club in Albany she was runner up in the Inaugural Women’s Match Play 2011. She has been the Pine Forest Country Club Champion since 1997.
Currently the Pine Forest Ladies Golf Association in-house Tournament Chair and Treasurer of the Pine Forest Country Club Homeowner’s Association.
Betsy Butler - Atlanta

Career: Founder - Blue Sky Real Estate Group, Associate Broker - Remax Metro
With a B.S. degree in Biology and an MBA degree in Finance from Georgia State University, Betsy has a proven track record in business. Early in her career she worked as a Financial Advisor for Smith Barney. She then joined the investment banking division of Central Bank of the South in Birmingham, AL. As Vice President in the investment division she led the division’s move from using a service bureau to its own in-house hardware and software systems. Subsequent positions in the investment division include, Manager of Central Bank Discount Brokerage and Manager of the retail bond sales department.
In other roles, Betsy owned a Central Park restaurant franchise, the first drive-thru only chain in the country.
She has also served as the Executive Director of the Georgia Foundation for Athletic Excellence whose mission is to support Georgia athletes in their pursuit of competing in the Olympics. As Executive Director, Betsy led fundraising campaigns and established innovative counseling and coaching programs for young athletes. Most recently she served on the Board of Sally Ride Science for three years.
Betsy competed on the women’s professional tennis circuit in the late 1970’s.
As a single digit handicap golfer, she won the 2012 GSGA Team Championship.
Nina Fanning - Newnan

Career: Owner - Secretaries Unlimited, RN - Department of Surgery UAB, Surgical Nurse - private practice General Surgeon
While working as a Surgical Nurse for a private practice General Surgeon in Atlanta, Nina realized medical satellite offices were becoming popular and necessary. She began assisting physicians in setting up and managing their second office. This led her to start her own business, Secretaries Unlimited. A secretarial service and executive suite center which she operated for ten years. Taking many years off to raise children she went back to work for another ten years outsourcing HR services to small businesses.
Nina has served as President of the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce; Alumni of Leadership North Fulton and Leadership Coweta. She has logged over 800 hours as a single engine pilot and, co-researched “A Pilot’s Guide to the Bahamas.” as well as completing the Coweta-UGA Master’s Gardner’s program.
Her love affair with golf began when she was 37. She has been a Ladies Club Champion at two different clubs as well as a Senior Ladies Champion. As a member of The Hole In One Club she continues to perfect her game.
Gina Franklin - Atlanta

Career: Owner - Magic Meal Solutions Catering, Certified PT, Manager/Corporate
Trainer - PF Chang’s China Bistro.
As a native of Southern California Gina loves all things outdoors. She took up golf five years ago. The love of the game was instantaneous as well as the humbling factor it provides. It’s her first year serving on the GWGA Board.
At 23 years old she left Southern Cal in search of adventure on the East Coast and never looked back. With ambitions set on a culinary career she joined the management team of a new company to the southeast, PF Chang’s China Bistro. After 14 years of service she decided to turn her love of cooking into a full-time business. She started her
own company offering catering and personal chef services. In 2009 she combined her love of food and fitness earning a Personal Training certificate at the National Personal Training Institute.
Gina currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer for the Mystery Valley Ladies Golf Association. She also participates in various ladies’ leagues, including Stone Mountain Golf Club, Eagles Landing Country Club and Mid-GA. She is looking forward to being a volunteer at the 2018 U.S. Women’s Open Golf Championship at the Shoal Creek Golf
and Country Club in Alabama this year.
Lynn Mitchell - Cedartown

Career: Owner - Mitchell Properties, Owner - Mitchell and West Tax Consultants
For the past 30 years Lynn has worked in the legal services field, providing invaluable support to the community. She currently works with Astin Law Firm.
Serving on several volunteer boards including the Downtown Association Board for the development of the City of Cedartown, the Polk County Humane Society Board and the Polk County Animal Control Board.
Lynn has served as a past GWGA President. She views her services to GWGA as a continuation of her community focused service to her church, female golfers and the elderly.
